Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire; Dwight King

Only eight teams play four games during Week 19 of the Fantasy Hockey season and only three weeks left until the puck drops on playoffs. At this time of the year, it’s important to get the most out of your moves, and that means use all of them! Unless you’re totally satisfied with your squad and don’t feel the need to use your maximum amount given each week. Of course, you may not have a maximum and if that’s the case, you should be adding and dropping each and every day if you’re on the outside looking in on a playoff spot. Do what ever it takes to get in and give yourself a chance to win that title.

If you are comfortably in a playoff spot, it’s not a bad idea to look ahead at the NHL schedule and make sure you’re set for a run. One of the better ways to be prepared for the week to come is to look at which teams are scheduled to play four games. Below are all eight teams that play four games and a suggestion from each team, focusing on players owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo! and ESPN leagues.

Frederik Andersen (head) spent all of Week 18 on the sidelines, but he could make a return this week along with Steve Mason (knee) and Sergei Bobrovsky (groin). All three returned to practice and are close to getting back between the pipes. It’s been a tough year for goalies and you can add Ryan Miller to the list as the Canucks’ netminder left Sunday’s game against the Islanders with a leg injury.

Eddie Lack made 27 saves in relief as the Canucks blanked the Islanders 4-0. Lack had allowed two or fewer in six of his last nine starts before Sunday. He’s worth a look if you’re in a pinch. John Gibson is here to stay as the Ducks waived Ilya Bryzgalov Sunday which means Andersen should be close to returning. Him and Gibson will most likely have a schedule that is similar to what St. Louis has with Brian Elliott and Jake Allen.

Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire: Four-Game Streams

Los Angeles Kings

Dwight King – LW  – Y! 3% / ESPN 5%

That 70’s line part 2, starring Dwight King, Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli. King has taken Tanner Pearson‘s spot on what was one of the better lines to start the season. Carter, Toffoli and King have combined for 12 goals and 26 points over their last six games. Toffoli should be owned, but King should be available.

King had three goals on 16 shots over those six games and had five assists to go along with a +5 rating. The left winger has hits in six straight games and 20 over his last eight. He may not stay on the line, but for now he’s there and producing making him a great stream and a fantastic daily play.

Detroit Red Wings

Darren Helm – C – Y! 6% / ESPN 8%

Helm has seen his ice-time jump big time over the past couple of weeks and it’s because he’s been skating on a line with Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Tatar. Helm has reached the 19 minute mark in three of his last four games and played at least twenty minutes in two of those four games.

Helm has four goals, eight points over his last seven games and five goals over his last eight games. He has registered at least a shot on goal (17) and a hit (25) in seven straight games. Helm is killing penalties and producing on the power play.

St. Louis Blues

Jori Lehtera – C – Y! 28% / ESPN 30%

Lehtera has cooled off considerable over the past month or so. Of course, he missed about two weeks with a concussion and when he returned he went scores in two straight games and there was talk he could find himself outside the top-six in St. Louis.

Lehtera is still centering a line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz giving him upside to put up points each night. Lehtera has assists in two straight and three assists and a +4 rating over his last four games. He also has six shots over those four games and is cheap in daily.

Anaheim Ducks

Kyle Palmieri – RW – Y! 4% / ESPN 8%

Bruce Beaudreau has put his lines in the blender and Ryan Getzlaf, Kyle Palmieri and Patrick Maroon came out together. They have combined for four goals and six assists in two games. Palmieri is currently riding a three-game point streak and has a goal, two assists a +3 rating and nine shots on net in his last two games.

Florida Panthers

Nick Bjugstad – C – Y! 37% / ESPN 50%

Bjugstad loves to shoot the puck and when you do that you usually get results. He has shots in 11 straight games and 40 over that span. Bjugstad has 21 goals on the season and five of them have come over his last nine games. He also throws hits body around having registered a hit in nine straight games and a minor penalty in four of his last seven games.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Cam Atkinson has four goals and six points over his last eight games and Artem Anisimov has a goal and three points over his last two games.  Anisimov is a player I like more, but both are widely available. Anisimov has 10 shots over his last three games and 20 over his last eight.

New Jersey Devils

Mike Cammalleri – C/LW – Y! 34% / ESPN 45%

Cammalleri is good enough for roster spot. He has 20 goals on the season and five over his last 10 games. He has a short handed goal and a game winning goal over his last two games. Like a lot of guys on this list, he loves to shoot the puck. He has at least a shot on net in 10 straight games.

Arizona Coyotes

Mark Arcobello – C – Y! !% / ESPN 1%

This is as deep as it gets. Mark Arcobello is playing for his fourth team this season and in five games with the Coyotes he has a shot on net in every game and a total three goals. All three have come over his last four games. No way he keeps it up, but he does have 11 goals in 53 games this year and seems worth a stream if you don’t have a max on pickups.
